Now I'm more excited to see this film. I've heard the criticisms that it's beat-by-beat the original but if this is their launching pad towards an expansion of where the original ended, without touching the continuity of the original, this could be a win-win (if the rest of the trilogy is good).
I'm picturing maybe it's gonna be what they were planning the original sequel to be.
EDIT: I watched and it definitely seemed like they were setting stuff up while also being its own contained thing. I'm excited for Chapters 2&3!
Then you have incredibly low expectations, this movie was garbage, poor direction storytelling and script, nothing original and new, must miss.
@@Indust12349literally so sad tbh I love the strangers and tbh it had a good idea just the characters were sooooooo dumb like I was like ong seriously we gonna shout and stop for cuddles the strangers didn’t even feel threatening I fact it felt like they had an easy job tbh

I had low expectations and it was still bad. Also very confused that the actor, Gabriel Basso (who is on the Night Agent on Netflix) was maybe the 4th or 5th actor to be credited but he was nowhere in this movie at all. Seemed very sloppily made and the story telling was awful.
Apparently Gabriel Basso is in film and still credited all over internet but I don’t recall seeing him in film. I’m guessing he was one of the guys in diner/outdoor food truck cooks. Can’t be the man in mask cause I saw who that actor was
He’s actually the man in the mask… the build, hands and eye color. He was also listed in an authentic movie article stating he was playing the main villain lead in the film.
Prey at night issues my favorite movie watched it more than. 100 times

I thought the movie was great pin pointed everything from the original didn’t change much and now that we got our feet wet a little I’m ready for the full dive In for part 2 I’ve been waiting my whole life to figure out who these people are if the town knows who they are or are they a known family that runs the area I’m ready for everything to be explained and wrapped up definitely been long enough🙃
Literally was so hard to sit through. Really terrible. And i thought Imaginary and Night Swim were bad. Hollywood is shot at this point.
wtf are you taking about?! There are so many great horror movies out. Maybe branch out to the “mainstream” movies bud lol A24 makes killer movies. Download shudder and touch some grass. If you like the OG strangers, watch Speak No Evil. Way worse.

Terrible movie. Very unconvincing scenarios, poor chemistry between the actors, very childish acting, TERRIBLE direction, at times I was shocked that the director didn't completely scrap some scenes and make the actors re-do it in a completely different and more believable way.
